Entry-Level | Business Development Track
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a career in B2B technology sales. As a Business Development Associate at Vega IT, you will learn the full business development lifecycle - from market research and prospecting to client outreach and deal support - under the guidance of an experienced Go-To-Market team operating across Europe, the US, and the Middle East.
You won't be thrown in the deep end alone. You will be mentored, trained, and given increasing responsibility as your skills and confidence grow. What we're looking for is someone with the right mindset: curious, commercially aware, and hungry to learn how complex software deals actually get done.
What you'll be learning and doing:
- Learning how enterprise software sales works — from ICP definition and lead generation to proposals and contract close — by shadowing and actively participating in real deals.
- Conducting market and prospect research to identify target companies and key decision-makers across Vega IT's core verticals: Financial Services, HealthTech, EdTech, and Retail.
- Supporting the preparation of outreach sequences, sales presentations, and pitch materials under senior team guidance.
- Assisting in tracking and maintaining pipeline data in Apollo and Salesforce — learning CRM hygiene and forecasting practices from day one.
- Participating in client calls, discovery sessions, and conference opportunities to develop your commercial instincts and industry knowledge.
- Building foundational knowledge of Vega IT's service portfolio and how to position it against client needs and competitors.
- Learning to use AI productivity tools — including Claude, ChatGPT, and others — to accelerate research, drafting, analysis, and competitive intelligence work. AI fluency is a core skill on this team.
- Contributing to thought leadership efforts: summarizing industry trends, preparing briefing notes, and supporting content creation for the team's market presence.
What We Are Looking For:
You don't need experience — you need the right foundation and attitude. Here's what that looks like:
- A recently completed degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Technical backgrounds (Computer Science, Engineering) with strong commercial interest are equally welcome.
- Genuine curiosity about how businesses buy and sell technology. You don't need to know the answers — you need to want to find them.
- Strong written and spoken English (C1 level minimum). This team operates globally and communicates with clients across Europe and the US daily.
- Comfort with research: you know how to find information, synthesize it, and draw a coherent conclusion from it.
- Willingness to learn and use AI tools as part of your daily workflow. We expect you to become proficient quickly, not eventually.
- A self-starter attitude — you follow through, meet deadlines, and don't wait to be told what to do twice.
Based in Belgrade or Novi Sad.
What This Role Is Not
Be honest with yourself before applying. This is not a role for someone who wants a passive, task-execution job. Business development is a results-driven function. You will be expected to develop real skills, take initiative, and over time carry your own pipeline. If that sounds uncomfortable, this role is not for you.
Benefits of working in our team:
-
Structured onboarding and mentorship from an experienced, nine-person global Business Development team.
-
Hands-on exposure to real B2B sales cycles, client negotiations, and international market development.
-
Access to AI tools and training to become a high-leverage, modern sales professional.
What's in it for you?
- A psychologically safe environment for all employees. Regardless of their race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or any other characteristic. This is one of the core values of our company culture. Something we have been tirelessly working on for years.
- Work in a transparent and flat organizational structure.
- Private health insurance ー with the option to include your family or partner in your policy. In-house lectures and paid training programs.
- Paid foreign language courses.
- The ability to convert your overtime hours into additional day(s) off.
- FitLife program, including paid training.
- Team-building events and travel opportunities.
- A Privilege Card offering various benefits.
- Subsidized daily meals at the company.
- Fresh seasonal fruits and refreshments available every day.
- Inclusion of your family or partner in company activities.
