During September, we decided to have a little bit of fun, so we asked our colleagues to be creative and change their titles into new, funny ones. :)

We asked some of them to tell us why they have chosen these particular titles:

Tijana Popov, Head of Hufflepuff House (Marketing Manager):

As someone who grew up with the Harry Potter series, I got the inspiration for the title quite easily :)

This is actually a role in one of the Hogwarts houses (in my opinion, the best of all houses). The motto of this house is:

"You might belong in Hufflepuff, where they are just and loyal. Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil."

I am very happy to have the opportunity to carry this title once in a lifetime, for at least a month.

Saša Popović, Wannabe Yoga Guru (CEO):

As dr. Stephen R. Covey said, "We must never become too busy sawing to take time to sharpen the saw". Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have, and that is you.

We can achieve that by caring about all these four areas of our life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual. As I seek continuous improvement and renewal professionally and personally, I practice yoga which helps me with two of those four areas: physical and spiritual (through meditation).

When I heard that about my colleagues' happiness at work initiative for September, I decided to use that chance to promote the practice I love and at the same time bring some laughter to the faces of people who will read my signature throughout this month :-).

NB: I'm still far away from being a yoga guru, but I'm very persistent and believe I'll reach that level one day :-)

Dragan Janković, Sleeper Agent (Software Developer):

When I “officially” finished the mentorship programme, I waited to start working on some project. So, I was waiting for some kind of an order, a mission. Hence the title Sleeper Agent. Plus, people usually tell me that I look sleepy :)

Kosta Kuprešak, Head of Geeks (Software Developer):

I decided to choose the title Head of Geeks because it entirely reflects the road I would like to take in my life. I’ve always loved researching IT topics which is why people often tell me I am a geek, which I considered and still consider a great compliment. The other meaning behind this title is my enthusiasm to research less popular topics/technologies which I love to dedicate my attention to. These include operational systems like Linux and BSD, ReactOS, and others. Of course, I also often hear geek jokes like: There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don’t.

Nemanja Đokić, Pirate King (Front-end Developer):

I found the inspiration for the title in the animated series (anima) called One Piece. I have been following One Piece for 15 years now and I like it more and more every day. Since the main character strives towards becoming a Pirate King one day, a chance to have this title for at least a month sounded awesome to me, so I decided to grab this opportunity.

Luka Nikolić, Master of the Taster (Software Developer):

I got the inspiration for this new title by accident. I liked how the combination of English and Serbian language rhymed in this particular case. In Serbian, the word “taster” refers to the fact that I spend all day typing something on my keyboard. However, if we read the title only in English, it means “someone who is a master of tasting different kinds of foods or drinks”, which is not far from the truth. :)

Thanks to all of you who took new roles in September and we are looking forward to hearing about new experiences in the future as well.
