Happiness is the main drive for our organization. Happy employees will serve customers better and happy customers drive growth.
We spend 1/3 of our lives at work, and that is why it is very important to be happy at your workplace. We believe that our colleagues' happiness is one of the most significant factors for the company's success, because it is directly related to productivity, innovation, motivation, optimism and energy.
In order to continue promoting the creation of a happy workplace at Vega IT, two years ago we became partners with a company called Woohoo inc, which is a group of leading international experts on happiness at work. They have provided us access to all the materials they have. We also needed a person who would take the role of a Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) and we chose Saša Novaković.
Saša was a great choice and he did many amazing things at Vega IT with help from our happiness committee.
Now, two years later, we have grown to a team of more than 100 experienced developers so we decided to give all our colleagues a chance to become the new CHO.
Every one of us nominated a colleague who they thought would be a good choice for the role of CHO and, after anonymous online voting, we elected our colleague Nemanja Šobo as our new CHO.
Nemanja is a truly happy person. He is also a cheerleader and an emphatic one. That is definitely the reason why he was elected for this role. In the past year, he has been spreading all the happiness he feels through his contagious energy and positive attitude.
We also expanded our happiness committee by a few more colleagues and changed the name into Cultural Committee.
The Cultural Committee will provide full support to Nemanja in terms of growth of knowledge, happiness and the organization itself.
We are looking forward to seeing Nemanja perform in his new role as CHO.
